Rolston Caines charged with causing the death of Valencia Robins, 18, of Jessup’s Village by reckless driving and dangerous driving was found not guilty on both counts Tuesday.
The charges were as a result of the fatal accident on Jan. 18 2008.
Valencia was killed when she was struck by a pickup truck as she walked along the main road at Bath Plains, near the RAMs Supermarket, about 7:30 p.m.
The pickup truck driven by Caines of Morning Star, was traveling from the direction of Charlestown when the vehicle collided with Ms. Robins.
The jury took nearly three hours to come to an 11-1 not guilty verdict on the causing death by reckless driving and a 10-2 not guilty verdict on the dangerous driving charge.
